Habitat Enhancers

In early 2025, Fred Dawson of Habitat Enhancers remodeled my first floor half bath to include a shower, put in a pocket door and as well as other upgrades. He and his partner LaDamon did a fabulous job. I especially appreciated their attention to detail and checking that each part of the project was done correctly. Every day they cleaned up to make sure that my home was left clean and dust free. He hired licensed plumbers and electricians to do the plumbing and electric work. The pricing was very fair. I highly recommend Habitat Enhancers as contractors.

Thanks again for another job well done. Now I have a truly convenient (and energy efficient) window over my kitchen sink as well as a secure insulated side door to my garage. I can’t quickly list all the jobs you’ve done for me, but I know they go from the biggies (new roof) to the small (“user error” problem with the new window; thanks for being gentle with me), but I know every one was done very well, with minimal aggravation to me, and they last! Habitat Enhancers are expert craftsmen, multitalented, always positive, on time; we are always amazed at the projects we throw at them and the perfection in which they are accomplished. Before they leave each day, all is vacuumed and tidy; they wear shoe covers when working inside. Their work always reflects the highest standards, their repairs are undetectable. They take the time to do their work, yet they manage tasks so no time is wasted waiting for paint to dry.
Over the years, Fred has brought our midcentury home to present day with great design and craftsmanship.

When we met Fred in late 2017 we had completed a fair amount of homework on our planned renovation. Our ideas included renovating the kitchen, great room, hallway, stair case as well as doors and some windows. Floors were removed and walls were changed. Yes it was a big project.
Fred completed our project in 2018. Fred was helpful and insightful, but very respectful of our ideas.
Here are a few random thoughts about our experience:
If your looking for “ball park” estimates and fast quotes, Fred is not your guy. He was thorough in evaluating each aspect of the job. His quotes were accurate complete and did not vary.
Fred and his team can do many many things, yet they recognize when other vendors bring added expertise. Fred’s sub contractors were exceptionally good at what they do.
