This is one of my first customers and presently college tutor for my son. The pictures really say it all in this 2016 project but we saved the customer a lot of expense by not removing the soffit over the stove and sink because of utility issues. We installed a larger and longer beam and opened up the space with the peninsula cabinetry and Santamargherita quartz. The porcelain tile runs through the house to front vestibule and inside all the bi-fold door closets. During the demolition of the linoleum floor we discovered that the subfloor was too thin and not installed properly. We replaced the subfloor with Advantech and fastened it properly. When the customers felt just the new subfloor they were happy. They couldn’t believe how solid it felt and that the squeaks were gone.
